Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Pets Lovers. By using this application, you accept the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Pets Lovers, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Pets Lovers is an application for managing your pet data, including:

  • Pet profile information
  • Veterinary visit calendar
  • Appointment management
  • Expense tracking
  • Data sharing with family members
  • Document and photo storage

3. User Account

To use Pets Lovers you must:

  • Create an account with accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Be responsible for all activities carried out with your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use
  • Be at least 14 years old

4. User Responsibilities

By using Pets Lovers, you agree to:

  • Not use the app for illegal purposes
  • Not upload offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content
  • Not attempt to breach the app's security
  • Not collect data from other users without consent
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information

5. Medical Disclaimer

  • We do not provide veterinary medical advice
  • Information in the app is for informational purposes only
  • Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical questions
  • We are not responsible for medical decisions based on app data

IMPORTANT: Pets Lovers is a data management tool and does NOT replace professional veterinary advice.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights of the app, including design, logos, text and code, belong to Pets Lovers. Users retain the rights to content they upload (photos, documents), but grant Pets Lovers a licence to use them in order to provide the service.

7. Data and Privacy (GDPR)

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, compliant with the GDPR (EU Reg. 2016/679).

How to exercise your rights:

  • Data access: view all your data directly in the app
  • Data export: go to Profile > Manage data > Export data (JSON or CSV)
  • Data modification: edit information directly in the app
  • Account deletion: go to Profile > Manage data > Delete account
  • Revoke notification consent: go to Profile > Settings > Notifications

WARNING: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your data (pets, visits, expenses, documents, photos) will be permanently deleted.

8. Limitation of Liability

Pets Lovers is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:

  • Data loss
  • Service interruptions
  • Direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the app
  • Decisions made based on app data

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend or discontinue the service
  • Update app features
  • Modify these terms at any time

We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email.

10. Account Suspension and Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account if:

  • You violate these Terms and Conditions
  • You use the app in a fraudulent or harmful way
  • You provide false information

Voluntary account deletion:

You can delete your account at any time by following these steps:

  1. Open the app and go to "Profile"
  2. Select "Manage data"
  3. Scroll to "Delete account"
  4. Confirm deletion

What happens when you delete your account:

  • All your data is permanently deleted (pets, visits, expenses, appointments)
  • Photos and documents are removed from storage
  • If you are the owner of a family with other members, ownership is automatically transferred
  • The operation is irreversible

Before deleting, we recommend exporting your data via "Export data".

11. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: database hosting and file storage (GDPR compliant)
  • Google Places API: nearby veterinarian search

The app does NOT use:

  • Analytics or tracking services
  • Third-party advertising
  • Profiling cookies

Notifications are managed locally on the device and do not require third-party cloud services.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Italian courts.
