Lost your pet in Palermo (PA)? What to do right away
- Publish a listing on the map with a recent photo and the exact spot where you lost it: people nearby who turned on alerts get an email.
- Tell the local police and the local veterinary services, and call the nearby dog and cat shelters: a microchipped pet that is found gets identified there.
- Check that the microchip details in the pet registry are up to date, with your phone number.
- Search the area at quiet times, leave one of its blankets outside your home and ask neighbours to check garages, cellars and gardens.
- Beware of scams: never pay anyone in advance who claims to have found it.
Seen a pet that looks lost? Report it with a photo and the spot where you saw it: it helps whoever is looking for it know where to go.
